*RIVERSIDE ATHLETIC BOOSTERS: KICK FOR THE JACKPOT*
Congratulations to Paul Faulder! Paul kicked a 30 yard field goal on Friday at the varsity football game against Bethel. Actually, the field goal would have probably been good from at least 40 yards. Paul won the $294 jackpot for making the field goal plus $25 for having his ticket picked.
CONTEST RULES: Buy tickets at the gate ($1 for 3 tickets or $5 for an arm's length) from Bella Robinson and Lily Jackson. If your ticket gets picked at halftime, you automatically win $25. If you kick a 30 yard field goal, you win the jackpot. You can have someone else kick the field goal for you. If the field goal is not made this week, the jackpot will grow for the next home game.
**The Jackpot will be worth $124 this coming Friday, October 3, when the Pirates play Northridge.

Indian Lake XC Invitational Riverside XC ran 5K at Indian Lake this morning. XC Girls Kristen Thompson ran 36:22 Maggie Beaty ran 37:06 XC Boys Aiden Fout 20:58 Season Best Brenden Lattimer 26:45 PR Brenden took off almost 2 minutes.

Tonight the HS Cross Country team ran the Milton Union 2 miler. There were many person best tonight. Aidan Fout ran a 12:57 PR Brenden Lattimer ran a 16:31 PR Kristen Thompson ran a 19:28 Maggie Beaty ran a 20:26 PR On Saturday, they will head to Indian Lake Invite.

Tonight was the annual Powderpuff game. In the first game Freshman vs. Sophomores, the Sophomores won. In the second game Juniors vs. Seniors, the Juniors won. In the final game, Sophomores vs. Juniors, the Juniors were victorious.

The Riverside Lady Pirates competed in the sectional tournament on Wednesday at the Stillwater Valley Golf Club. Riverside senior Reaghan McDaniel shot an 83 and finished 2nd in the tournament out of 90 golfers. Her 2nd place finish qualified her for the Division 2 Southwest District tournament to be played on Wednesday, October 1st at Pipestone Golf Club in Miamisburg. Reaghan has qualified for the district tournament all 4 years of her high school career. The Lady Pirates team finished 13th out of 18 teams. Adalynn Calaway shot a 131, which is a 29 shot improvement from the sectional tournament last year. Whitney Leatherman shot a 138, a good score for her first sectional tournament. Lei Hurley shot a 139, which is a 37 shot improvement from last season. Great job Lady Pirates, continuing to work to improve throughout the season. Congratulations Reaghan and good luck at District!

Reminder: Tomorrow is Picture Day for MS/HS. Jostens will be here in the morning to meet with all Freshman and Seniors.

On Saturday, the Cross Country team headed to the Ohio Caverns Invite in West Liberty. We also celebrated our senior, Maggie Beaty. In the girls race, Kristen Thompson ran 32:50.4 and Maggie ran 33:00.7. In the boys race, Aidan ran 21:22.3 SB (Season Best) and Brenden ran 28:22.5. Next race will be Thursday at Milton Union.

Pirate and Raider Nation, Ben Logan is hosting Volley for a Cure 2025, Riverside at Ben Logan, on Oct 4th ( JV 9am, Varsity to start at 10am,) and it is right around the corner. We are raising money to help local Cancer Fighters.
